We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect and Security Specialist to join our team. As a Cloud Architect and Security Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud-based solutions for our clients. You will work closely with our development team to ensure that our cloud infrastructure meets the highest standards of security and efficiency. You will also advise our clients on best practices for achieving and maintaining a secure cloud environment.

This role is critical for designing and managing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of cloud resources, and maintaining the highest standards of cybersecurity for both internal resources and our web application.

 

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Architecture Design: Develop and implement cloud architecture strategies to support both internal resources and the company’s web application.
  • Resource Management: Manage cloud resources, ensuring optimal efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
  • Security Management: Oversee the security of the company’s cloud infrastructure, including implementing and maintaining security protocols to protect internal resources and the web application.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and manage cloud costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and optimization.
  • Integration: Work with development and operations teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems and workflows.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding data security and privacy.
  • Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Set up monitoring tools to track cloud performance and security metrics. Generate reports on cloud usage, performance, and security status.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to internal teams on cloud usage and security best practices.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience is also acceptable.
  • Experience: Proven experience in cloud architecture and management, with a strong background in cybersecurity.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with major cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform. Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and storage solutions.
  • Security Expertise: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and security compliance.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design efficient and secure cloud solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent are highly desirable.
